  • 1983Irlannin perustuslakiin kirjataan oikeus aborttiin vain syntymättömille lapsille. Abortti on yhä kieletty Irlannissa poislukien vakavat lääketieteelliset tapaukset.
  • 1988- Kanadan korkein oikeus salli abortin raiskaustapauksissa.
