Virtual XI on heavy metal -yhtye Iron Maidenin yhdestoista studioalbumi, joka julkaistiin 23. maaliskuuta 1998. Se on yhtyeen toinen ja samalla viimeinen albumi, jossa on mukana laulaja Blaze Bayley.

Virtual XI jakaa jyrkästi fanien mielipiteitä, kuten myös edellinen albumi, The X Factor. Albumin ensimmäinen single oli "The Angel and the Gambler", joka julkaistiin 9. maaliskuuta 1998 ja se nousi brittilistan sijalle 18. Toinen single "Futureal" ei sijoittunut.

Albumi sisältää paljon Steve Harrisin kosketinsoitinosuuksia. Aikaisemmilla Iron Maiden -albumeilla Somewhere in Time, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, No Prayer for the Dying, Fear of the Dark, ja The X Factor koskettimia soitti Michael Kenney.

Virtual XI nousi brittilistalla sijalle 16, mikä tekee albumista yhtyeen heikoimmin sijoittuneen studioalbumin Britanniassa.

Virtual XI World Tour oli Iron Maidenin toinen ja viimeinen kiertue, jolla laulajana toimi Blaze Bayley. Kiertue alkoi huhtikuussa 1998 ja päättyi 12. joulukuuta Buenos Airesiin, Argentiinaan.

Kiertueella soitettiin yleisesti paljon pienemmille yleisöille kuin ennen Iron Maidenin historiassa. Kiertue katkesi kesken Yhdysvaltojen osuuden. Bayleyn jatkuvien allergiareaktioiden takia miltei puolet Yhdysvaltojen konserteista jouduttiin perumaan.

Ahkerana Suomen-kävijänä tunnettu Iron Maiden soitti Helsingin jäähallissa 23. syyskuuta 1998. Lämmittelijöinä kiertueella oli Dio, Helloween ja Dirty Deeds.
