Lollapalooza on yhdysvaltalainen musiikkifestivaali, jonka perusti Jane’s Addictionin laulaja Perry Farrell yhtyeensä jäähyväiskiertueeksi vuonna 1991.[1] Alun perin Lollapalooza oli useita kaupunkeja kattanut festivaalikiertue, joka kiersi Yhdysvaltoja vuosina 1991–1997. Se herätettiin uudelleen vuonna 2003 ja on jatkunut vakituisesti vuodesta 2005 alkaen yksittäisenä festivaalina, jonka tapahtumapaikkana on Chicagon Grant Park.[2] 2010-luvulla festivaali on laajentunut Chilen Santiagoon ja Brasilian São Pauloon.[3]
2010-luvun lopulla festivaalit laajennettiin vielä Ranskaan, Argentiinaan, Saksaan ja Ruotsiin.
Lollapaloozassa esiintyi 1990-luvulla monia sittemmin maailmanmaineeseen nousseita rock-yhtyeitä, kuten The Smashing Pumpkins, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails ja Pearl Jam.
