Yoshi
Sivulta puuttuu 
Yoshi on useissa Nintendon Mario-peleissä esiintyvä fiktiivinen hirmuliskolaji, sekä eräs tietty tämän lajin edustaja. Yoshin ensiesiintyminen tapahtui Super Mario World-pelissä 1990-luvulla. Yosheilla on pitkä, tahmea kieli, ja ne kykenevät nielemään lähes mitä tahansa – myös itseään suurempia asioita. Ennen kaikkea Yoshit käyttävät ravinnokseen hedelmiä, mutta tarpeen vaatiessa myös elävät olennot käyvät. Yosheilla on hampaat, mutta niitä ei usein nähdä eikä liioin käytetäkään. Yoshit ovat kovia syömään; niiltä menee alas lähes mikä tahansa. Yoshien munista voi myös ajan saatossa kuoriutua myös uusia pikku-Yosheja.
Yoshi itse tunnetaan vihreästä väristään, mutta muut yoshi-lajin edustajat voivat olla melkein minkä värisiä tahansa. Kun Yoshit nielaisevat koopan kilpiä ne saavat erikoiskykyjä, esimerkiksi sininen Yoshi osaa kasvattaa itselleen siivet, kun taas punainen Yoshi osaa sylkeä tulta.
Yoshilla pääsee ratsastamaan mm. peleissä Super Mario World, New Super Mario Bros. Wii ja Super Mario Galaxy 2.
