DJ Hero on FreeStyleGamesin kehittämä ja Activisionin julkaisema musiikkipeli. Peli on spin-off Guitar Hero -pelille, eli pelaaja pääsee pelaamaan DJ-pöydällä Guitar Heron kaltaista rytmipeliä. DJ Hero julkaistiin lokakuussa 2009 PlayStation 2:lle, PlayStation 3:lle, Xbox 360:lle ja Wiille.[1] Pelissä on yli 90 remixiä, jotka on yleensä miksattu kahdesta eri kappaleesta. Pelissä on myös kymmenen kappaletta, jotka voi soittaa Guitar Hero -kitaralla DJ:n kanssa. Pelin jatko-osa DJ Hero 2 julkaistiin lokakuussa 2010.[2]

Levylautasohjaimeen kuuluu pyöritettävä levysoittimen lisäksi ja kolme "stream"-näppäintä, cross-fader, efektinäppäin, ja euphoria-painike

Pelissä on kolme eriväristä nappia (vihreä, punainen, sininen), joita pelaajan täytyy painaa oikeaan tahtiin ruudussa tulevien pallukoiden kanssa. Pitkissä nuoteissa pelaajan pitää painaa oikeanväristä painiketta pohjassa ja heiluttaa levyä edestakaisin eli ”scratchata”. Pöydästä löytyy myös cross-fader-tanko sekä euphoria-näppäin, jolla pelaaja voi aktivoida "star powerin" kaltaisen efektin, joka on tuttu Guitar Herosta. Pejaajalla on myös mahdollisuus saada käyttöön rewind-toiminto, jolla hän voi kelata kappaletta taaksepäin.

DJ Heroon ovat tehneet remixijä muun muassa DJ Shadow, Z-Trip, DJ AM, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Jazzy Jeff ja Daft Punk. Kaikki nämä löytyvät myös pelattavana hahmona pelissä.

DJ Hero sai positiivisia arvioita pelilehdistöltä. GameRankings antoi pelille 88.4 % arvion ja Metacritic puolestaan 86 pistettä sadasta. Pelaaja-lehti antoi pelille kahdeksan pistettä kymmenestä ja kehui erityisesti ohjaimen käyttöä hauskaksi ja tyydyttäväksi. Kuitenkin huonoksi puoleksi pelissä nousi kappaleiden pituus ja puuduttavuus[8]
