American Recordings

American Recordings on Rick Rubinin vuonna 1988 perustama levy-yhtiö, hänen jätettyään Def Jam Recordingsin. Aluksi yhtiö toimi nimellä Def American, mutta muutti sen myöhemmin nykyiseen muotoonsa. Nykyään emoyhtiönä on Sony Music. Yhtiön suositumpiin artisteihin kuuluvat Johnny Cash, Danzig, Slayer, System of a Down ja The Black Crowes. Levy-yhtiön ensimmäinen albumijulkaisu oli Danzigin debyyttialbumi elokuussa vuonna 1988.
