Masters of Reality
Sivulta puuttuu Masters of Reality on kitaristi, tuottaja ja laulaja Chris Gossin ja Tim Harringtonin vuonna 1981 Syracusessa, New Yorkissa perustama stoner rock -yhtye. Yhtye nimettiin Black Sabbathin Master of Reality -albumin mukaan. Masters of Reality on osa niin sanottua "Palm Desert -skeneä", johon luetaan myös Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age ja monia muita stoner rock- ja desert rock -yhtyeitä.
Ensimmäiseen kokoonpanoon kuuluivat Chris Goss, Tim Harrington, Vinnie Ludovico ja Googe. Tämä kokoonpano nauhoitti albumin Masters of Reality ennen hajoamistaan 1989. Masters of Reality pääsi otsikoihin, kun Cream-rumpali Ginger Baker liittyi yhtyeeseen ja soitti sen toisella albumilla Sunrise on the Sufferbus vuonna 1993. Albumilta nousi top ten -hitti "She Got Me (When She Got Her Dress On)". Baker lähti yhtyeestä vain vuoden myöhemmin. Silloinen Circus of Power -rumpali Victor Indrizzo liittyi myöhemmin täydentämään kokoonpanoa.
Gossin yhteydet Queens of the Stone Ageen johtivat siihen, että Nick Oliveri ja Joshua Homme soittivat vuoden 2001 albumilla Deep in the Hole sekä kaksi vuotta myöhemmin live-albumilla Flak 'n' Flight.
Goss on myös tuottanut lukuisia yhtyeitä (muun muassa Kyuss, Soulwax, Melissa Auf der Maur ja The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster) sekä löytänyt lukuisia uusia yhtyeitä Palm Desertistä ja muualta.
