Primal Fear on saksalainen power metal/heavy metal -yhtye. Gamma Rayn entinen laulaja Ralf Scheepers (laulu), Mat Sinner (basso, taustalaulu), Stefan Leibing ja Tom Naumann (kitarat) perustivat Primal Fearin vuonna 1997. Scheepers perusti yhtyeen, kun ei päässyt Rob Halfordin tilalle Judas Priestiin. Hän on soittanut rumpuja, ja asuu nykyään Berliinissä.
