Nigel Pennick

Nigel Campbell Pennick (s. 1946 Guildford, Britannia) on muun muassa okkultismiin ja kelttiläisyyteen keskittyvien tekstien kirjoittaja. Hän on myös kuvittaja, okkultisti ja astrologi.

Pennick kirjoittaa myös eurooppalaisista käsitöistä, rakennuksista, maisemista, perinteistä, peleistä ja hengellisistä perinteistä.

Hän on kirjoittanut monia kirjoja saksaksi ja julkaissut yli 24 kirjaa ja satoja artikkeleita erilaisista aiheista.

Elämä

Pennick eli suurimman osan lapsuudestaan sodanjälkeisessä Lontoossa. Hän on matkustanut laajalti Euroopassa ja Pohjois-Amerikassa tutkien, luennoiden ja ohjaten työpajoja sekä luoden alttareita ja labyrintteja.

Hän on perustanut Institute of Geomantic Research -opiston ja kirjan kustantamon Library of the European Traditions.

Tieteellinen ura

Pennick on opiskellut biologiaa. 15 vuoden ajan hän oli levien taksonomiaan tutkija valtion tutkimuslaitoksessa Cambridgessa. Tämän aikana hän julkaisi 29 tieteellistä artikkelia valtamerien mikro-organismien utrastruktuurista ja taksonomiasta, joihin kuuluu kahdeksan ennen tuntematonta levää ja alkueläintä. Tämän jälkeen hän siirtyi kirjailijaksi ja kuvittajaksi.
