Nick Phoenix (s. 25. elokuuta 1967 Lontoo) on toinen Two Steps from Hell -tuotantomusiikkiyhtiön perustajista. Two Steps from Hell -yhtiön lisäksi hän julkaissut kolme sooloalbumia, jotka ovat Speed of Sound (2013), King of One (2021) ja Wide World (2022). Hän on säveltänyt musiikkia lukuisiin kappaleisiin, sekä toiminut useissa niistä myös laulajana.

Muu elämä

Nick Phoenix syntyi 25. elokuuta 1967 Lontoossa, Iso-Britanniassa, mutta hän kasvoi New Haven CT:ssä. Phoenix opiskeli Hopkins Grammarissa ja Connecticutin yliopistossa pääaineena kirjoittamista. Phoenix opiskeli klassista pianoa 10 vuotta ja hän aloitti rockbändeissä soittamisen 12-vuotiaana.

Phoenixin poika Jack kuoli 15-vuotiaana 15. marraskuuta 2015 auto-onnettomudessa Los Anglesissa. Onettomuuden aiheutti poliisia 90 mailia karkuun ajava mies. Myöhemmin Two Steps from Hellin albumi "Vanquish" omistettiin hänen muistolleen.

Two Steps from Hell

Vuonna 2006 Phoenix perusti Two Steps from Hellin senaikaisen liikekumppaninsa Thomas Bergersenin kanssa ja he julkaisivat ensimmäisen julkisen albuminsa "Invincible" vuonna 2010. Harry Potter -franchise-, Batman-, Jurassic Park-, Star Trek- ja lukuisten Pixar-elokuvien trailerit auttoivat nostattamaan Two Steps from Hellin suosiota. Myöhemmin yhtiö on julkaissut useita kaupallisia albumeita, kuten Achangel ja Skyworld, joista jokainen noussut top 100 listalle iTunesin Soundtracks- kategoriassa. Battlecry nousi sijalle 4 sen julkistamisvuonna 2015. Vuonna 2019 Two Steps julkaisi Dragonin, joka sijoittui sijalle 5 iTunes soundtrack-kategoriassa ja sijalle 1 Googleplayssa. Two Steps From Hell on myös ollut maailman ykkössuoratoistoelokuvataiteilija vuodesta 2017 lähtien. Two Steps From Hell YouTube-kanavalla on yli 5 miljardia katselukertaa. Vuonna 2018 sekä Invincible että Battlecry saavuttivat kultaennätyksen. Phoenix esitti loppuunmyydyn Euroopan kiertueen vuonna 2022.

King of One

Wide World

Wide World on Phoenixin kolmas sooloalbumi, joka julkaistiin 29. huhtikuuta 2022. Se sisältää lauluesityksiä Nick Phoenixilta ja C.C. Whitelta.

Underdog

Underdog on Phoenixin tuleva neljäs sooloalbumi. Huhtikuussa 2023 jokaisen kappaleen esikatselu julkaistiin Nickin verkkosivuilla. Albumilla on laulu Phoenixilta ja C.C. Whitelta. Siinä ovat myös Joel Shearer ja David Levita soittamassa kitaraa, Greg Ellis rummuissa (ja Aaron Sterling Underdogissa). Jon Joseph soittaa bassoa ja selloa Helen Nash.
