Metal Blade Records on riippumaton levy-yhtiö, jonka perusti Brian Slagel vuonna 1982. Yhtiöllä on toimipisteet Yhdysvalloissa, Saksassa ja Japanissa. Yhdysvalloissa yhtiön jakelijana toimii Sony BMG.
Metal Blade Recordsin artisteja on käynyt Billboardin Top 200 -listalla, mukaan lukien As I Lay Dying, The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse, Fates Warning (ensimmäinen Metal Blade Recordsin yhtye, joka saavutti sijan listalla), GWAR, Slayer ja Unearth. Goo Goo Dolls on ainoa yhtiön artisti, joka on saavuttanut kulta- tai platinalevy statuksen myynnillään.
