Sheri S. Tepper

Sheri Stewart Tepper (16. heinäkuuta 1929 Littleton, Colorado – 22. lokakuuta 2016 Santa Fe, New Mexico) oli yhdysvaltalainen kirjailija, joka kirjoitti pääasiassa tieteis- ja kauhukirjallisuutta. Hän on tunnettu feministisestä tieteiskirjallisuudestaan, jossa on usein myös ekofeministisiä piirteitä. Tepper sai parhaan fantasiateoksen Locus-palkinnon vuonna 1991 romaanistaan Beauty.

Tepper käytti myös useita salanimiä, kuten A. J. Orde, E. E. Horlak ja B. J. Oliphant. Tepper aloitti runojen ja lasten tarinoiden kirjoittamisen nimellä Sheri S. Eberhart 1960-luvulla. Fantasian kirjoittamisen Tepper aloitti 1980-luvun alussa. Hän herätti arvostelijoiden ja yleisön laajemman kiinnostuksen ensimmäisellä science fiction -romaanillaan vuonna 1987. Tepperin teoksista on suomennettu Portti naisten maahan (A Gate to Women’s Country, suom. Karisto 1990) ja Ruohojen maa (Grass, suom. Karisto 1991).
