Patricia Anne McKillip (s. 29. helmikuuta 1948 Salem, Oregon) on yhdysvaltalainen fantasiakirjailija. McKillip on saanut muun muassa World Fantasy- ja Mythopoeic-palkinnot.[1] McKillipilta on suomennettu romaanit Basiliskin laulu (1998), Unohdettu Ombria (2002) ja Serren metsissä (2003).

Elämä ja teokset [muokkaa]
McKillip opiskeli englannin kieltä San Josen yliopistossa ja valmistui 1973. Hänen esikoisteoksensa, satufantasia The Throme of the Erril of Sherril ilmestyi samana vuonna.[2] Romaani The Forgotten Beasts of Eld (1974) voitti World Fantasy -palkinnon. McKillipin teoksille tyypillisesti teoksen tapahtumat ovat välillä unenomaisia ja ympäristö muistuttaa saduista. Kirjailijalle ominaista ovat myös teemat, jotka liittyvät kostoon ja anteeksiantoon.[3] Nykyisin McKillip asuu Oregonin osavaltiossa ja on naimisissa runoilija David Lunden kanssa.[4] Useimpien McKillipin uusien teosten kansikuvan on tehnyt Kinuko Y. Craft.[5]
