The Shangri-Las oli yhdysvaltalainen popyhtye, joka perustettiin vuonna 1963.[1][2] Huhtikuussa 1964 yhtye teki levytyssopimuksen Red Bird Recordsin kanssa ja samana vuonna julkaistiin yhtyeen ensimmäinen hitti, ”Remember (Walking in the Sand)”, joka pääsi Yhdysvaltain listalla viidenneksi[1]. Vuonna 1967 yksi jäsenistä, Marguerite Ganser, päätti lähteä yhtyeestä. Yhtye hajosi vuonna 1969[1].
The Shangri-Lasin neljästä jäsenestä kaksi on vielä elossa. Mary Ann Ganser kuoli aivotulehdukseen vuonna 1970 ja Marguerite ”Marge” Ganser kuoli rintasyöpään vuonna 1996[1].
