H. H. Price
Henry Habberley Price (17. toukokuuta 1899 Neath, Glamorganshire, Wales – 26. marraskuuta 1984 Oxford, Englanti) oli brittiläinen filosofi, joka tunnetaan havainnon filosofiastaan. Hän kirjoitti myös parapsykologiasta.
Price opiskeli Winchester Collegessa ja Oxfordin yliopiston New Collegessa. Hänestä tuli collegen jäsen ja Wykeham-oppituolin logiikan professori vuonna 1935. Hän toimi tehtävässä vuoteen 1959.[1] Price toimi Aristotelian Societyn puheenjohtajana vuosina 1943-1944.
Price tunnetaan parhaiten havainnon filosofiastaan, jossa hänen pääteoksensa on Perception (1932). Hän omaksui Bertrand Russellilta ja G. E. Moorelta termin sense-datum tarkoittamaan havainnon perusobjektia. Hän tutki muun muassa sitä, kuinka sense-datum ”kuuluu” aineellisille kappaleille. Tässä hän hylkäsi sekä John Locken ja Russellin kausaaliset teoriat että J. S. Millin fenomenalismin.[1]
Price piti Gifford-luennot Aberdeenin yliopistossa vuosina 1959–1961.
