Country Joe McDonald
Joseph Allen ”Country Joe” McDonald (1. tammikuuta 1942 – 7. maaliskuuta 2026 Berkeley, Kalifornia[1]) oli yhdysvaltalainen muusikko, joka perusti 1960-luvulla psykedeelisen folkrockyhtyeen Country Joe and the Fish. Yhtyeen hajottua McDonald siirtyi soolouralle, joka jatkui 2020-luvulle saakka. McDonald käsitteli sanoituksissaan vasemmistolaisia poliittisia ja ekologisia teemoja.[2]
Kommunistiperheessä kasvanut McDonald sai etunimensä Neuvostoliiton johtajan Josif Stalinin mukaan.[3]
