Art of Noise

Art of Noise esiintymässä Liverpoolissa vuonna 2017 ensimmäistä kertaa noin 17 vuoteen.

Art of Noise oli avantgardistinen vuonna 1983 perustettu synthpop-yhtye. Sen muodostivat tuottaja Trevor Horn, musiikkitoimittaja Paul Morley ja sessiomuusikot Anne Dudley, J. J. Jeczalik ja Gary Langan. Yhtyeen useimmiten instrumentaalikappaleet olivat outoja, usein melodisia äänikollaaseja, jotka perustuivat digitaaliseen sampleri-tekniikkaan. Yhtye otti nimensä Luigi Russolon manifestista Hälyjen taide.

Art of Noisen menestynein single on yhdessä Tom Jonesin kanssa vuonna 1988 julkaistu Prince-cover ”Kiss”.
