I'm a German fan of the team and in all interwikis it is called so. Even like FC Bayern München has the full name FC Bayern München 1900 e. V., using the short version. 62.224.85.215 31. tammikuuta 2007 kello 12.21 (UTC)

The other versions of Wikipedia do not dictate what the Finnish language Wikipedia does. Naturally de:Wiki is one reasonable source for German names, but here I would consider Vfb.de being the one that calls the shots as the main authority. What comes to FC Bayern, their football section is known as FC Bayern München AG since 2002 - therefore the article name FC Bayern München. And as I have understood, also the core of the club is known as FC Bayern München e.V., without any founding year included. -Les 31. tammikuuta 2007 kello 13.53 (UTC)

Siirto takaisin VfB Stuttgart -nimelle olisi myös minun mielestäni oikea ratkaisu. Vaikka joukkueen virallinen ja kokonainen nimi olisi mikä, niin se ei ennenkään ole ollut Wikipediassa peruste artikkelin nimeämiselle. Päinvastoin on toimittu siten, että alun perin "virallisella" nimellä olleita artikkeleita on siirretty yleisemmin käytössä olevalle nimelle. Esimerkiksi Real Madrid (ennen "Real Madrid CF") ja Juventus (ennen "Juventus FC") on siirretty viime aikoina Wikipediassa nykyisille nimilleen, perusteina se, etteivät nuo liitteet ole olennaisia eivätkä esiinny käytössä. Tämä peruste toimisi hyvin myös tämän artikkelin kohdalla. 1893 tuolla perässä ei ole olennainen, eikä esiinny käytössä, kuten tässäkin keskustelussa on jo tullut ilmi. CF ja FC tosin vain selventävät organisaation toimialan, 1893 taas on osa seuran nimeä sinänsä (kuten Hannover 96, Mainz 05 tai Schalke 04). Verrattavissa olisi lähinnä siis liitteen VfB:n poisto. Titel in VfB.de: VfB Stuttgart 1893 e.V., hier VfB Stuttgart 1893. Text in VfB.de: VfB, hier VfB oder VfB Stuttgart. Eigentlich kann ich keinen Konflikt sehen? Das ist nur die Überschrift. Bei jedem deutschen Verein ist die Jahreszahl im Vereinsnamen. Aber wenn man über den VfB spricht, spricht man die Jahreszahl nie mit aus.
