"An overlinked article contains an excessive number of links, making it difficult to identify links likely to aid the reader's understanding :significantly.[1] In particular, unless they are particularly relevant to the topic of the article, the following are not usually linked:
  • everyday words understood by most readers in context;
  • the names of major geographic features and locations; languages; religions; common occupations; and pre- and post-nominals;
