Ned Thomas Beatty (s. 6. kesäkuuta, 1937, Louisville, Kentucky, Yhdysvallat, ikä 75) on yhdysvaltalainen luonnenäyttelijä.
Lapsuus ja nuoruus[muokkaa]
Ned Beatty syntyi Louisvillessä Kentuckyssä. Hänellä on sisar Mary Margaret Beatty. Esiintymisen Beatty aloitti varhain: vuonna 1947, vain kymmenvuotiaana, Beatty lauloi paikallisissa gospel-kvarteteissa ja paikallisessa kirkossa.[1] Näyttämöllä Beatty debytoi 19-vuotiaana. Yliopistotutkinnon hän suoritti Berea Collegessa Bereassa, Kentuckyssa.[2]
Ned Beatty on näytellyt yli sadassa pitkässä elokuvassa, joista kuuluisimmat lienevät esikoiselokuva Syvä joki (1972), Robert Altmanin Nashville (1975), Teräsmies (1978) ja Rudy (1993). Beatty on näytellyt myös useissa televisiosarjoissa, joista tunnetuimmat ovat Homicide: Pelon kadut ja Roseanne.
Vuonna 1976 Beatty sai Oscar-ehdokkuuden sivuosastaan elokuvassa Kasvot kuvaruudussa. Hän on ollut myös kahdesti ehdolla Emmy-palkinnon saajaksi ja kerran Golden Globe -ehdokkaana.
Vuoden 2006 maaliskuussa Ned Beatty palkittiin kansainvälisellä RiverRun-filmifestivaaleilla tapahtuman arvostetuimmalla "Master of Cinema"-palkinnolla.

Beatty viettää kesät Minnesotan Karlstadissa, joka on hänen vaimonsa kotikaupunki. Ned Beatty asuu nykyään Kalifornian Springvillessä.
