Sen julkaisijana toimi Def Jam Recordings, ei Sony. The Definition of X sisältää hittejä kuten "Where The Hood At", "X Gon Give It to Ya" ja "Party Up".
Albumi debytoi numerolla 26 Billboard 200-listalla, myyden 35 000 kappaletta ensimmäisellä viikollaan. 11. heinäkuuta 2007 mennessä albumi oli myynyt 65 826 kappaletta Yhdysvalloissa.
