Kon-Boot on ohjelma, jonka avulla on mahdollista ohittaa Microsoft Windows ja Apple MacOS -käyttöjärjestelmien salasanat ilman pysyviä muutoksia kohdejärjestemään. Kon-Boot tukee myös Windows 10 -verkkosalasanoja (Windows 10 online/live).[1]

Kon-Boot suunniteltiin alun perin ilmaiseksi apuohjelmaksi ihmisille, jotka unohtelevat salasanojansa. Ajatuksena oli, että käyttäjät voisivat kirjautua kohdetietokoneeseen ilman pysyviä muutoksia, tietämättä käyttöjärjestelmän salasanaa.
Ensimmäinen Kon-Boot julkaistiin vuonna 2008 DailyDave -postituslistalla[2]. Kyseinen versio salli käyttäjien kirjautua sisään Linux-pohjaisiin käyttöjärjestelmiin ja ohittaa sisäänkirjauksen tietämättä salasanaa.
Vuotta myöhemmin julkaistiin tuki Linuxille ja kaikille 32-bittisille Microsoft Windows järjestelmille[3]. Kyseinen versio lisäsi tuen kaikille Windows -käyttöjärjestelmille alkaen Windows Server 2008:sta Windows 7:ään. Tämä versio on edelleen saatavilla ilmaisohjelmana[4].
Uusimmat Kon-Boot julkaisut ovat saatavilla vain kaupallisina tuotteina [1][5], ja niitä ylläpidetään edelleen. Nykyinen versio (3.1) pystyy ohittamaan salasanat seuraavissa käyttöjärjestelmissä:
