Title in Finnish?[muokkaa wikitekstiä]

Dear Finnish fellow editors, :-)
Please forgive me for writing this in English but, sadly, I don't speak your beautiful 'suomen kieli'. My name is Patrick; I am an editor at the English Wikipedia, and my user page is: en:User:Pdebee. I would be most thankful for your help with my simple question, related to Sibelius's Karelia Suite, as it is called in English.
I have seen that the title of this piece of music is often written as Karelia-sarja in Finnish, which surprises me because I thought that 'Karelia' is the English word for 'Karjala' in Finnish. Therefore, logically, I would have expected Sibelius to have named this piece Karjala-sarja, in 'complete' Finnish, so to speak.
Can anyone please explain why it is always Karelia-sarja in Finnish, and apparently never Karjala-sarja? Or, put differently: do you also use the name 'Karelia' in Finnish? Thank you very much, in advance, for your help with this question.
Ystävällisin terveisin;

Karelia is not Finnish. The title was not probably chosen by the composer himself but was given to him when the music was commissioned. It was a kind of pseudo-Latin international title: close to Russian, Swedish and German names of the Karjala region. The work is actually not particularly Finnish. Intermezzo and Alla Marcia could have been written by any Central European composer. Sibelius' mother tongue was Swedish, by the way. -Ochs (keskustelu) 10. lokakuuta 2019 kello 18.55 (EEST)[vastaa]
Dear @Ochs:;
Kiitos paljon! [ <- I hope that is correct? ... ;-) ...] I am most grateful to you for providing this very interesting explanation, which makes sense and elucidates the mystery of the partially Finnish title of Karelia-sarja. I must educate myself about Finnish classical music, beyond Sibelius; you have helped me realise that I don't know what qualities are characteristic of your music. Thank you once again!
Ystävällisin terveisin;
