Discovery date

Tomisti, the statue was found in 1894, not 1893. See Homolle's article in Gazette des Beaux-Arts, December 1894 [1]: the caption says found in July 1894 (Homolle was the head of the French team that discovered the statue). See also [2]. Thank you for the source links. There seems to be a wide disagreement[3][4] on the year of the discovery, but surely Homolle himself knew the correct time. I guess 1893 occurs as incorrect time in many sources because the excavations begun that year, but this statue was found in 1894. I corrected the article. (I don't understand to what act ”Why did you delete the famous photograph of the discovery ?” refers to, since this article haven't ever had any other images than what it currently has. But I undid[5] your modification[6] because 1) you didn't provide any sources; 2) your comment "30/10/94" was incomprehensible; and 3) your modification was conflicting the existing sources referenced in the end of the sentence which you modified.) --Tomisti (keskustelu) 28. elokuuta 2018 kello 19.59 (EEST)
