Clark s. 1045 kertoo: "The melting point of PuO_2–x depends on the O:Pu ratio. For stoichiometric PuO_2.00, a number of values have been reported; however, the best values are thought to be those reported by Lyon and Baily (1965, 1967), who found 2390±20 °C, or Aitken and Evans (1968) who found a value of 2445 °C. These experiments were performed on specimens sealed in tungsten capsules to prevent loss of oxygen. Wriedt (1990) proposed a value of 2445 °C, and Adamson et al.
