Requested Move

I'm sorry writing in English. I cannot speak Suomen kieli.
I propose to move this article to "Liancourt" because Dok-do is Korean name and it is against NPOV, as the English Wikipedia moved the article to "Liancourt Rocks" from "Dokdo". The United Nations calls it "Liancourt Rocks" because the sovereignity of the islet is unsettled (List made by the United Nations<--See #139). "Liancourt" is a better name for Suomi Wikipedia than Dokdo or Takeshima because it is the name used in the world. I propose to move this article to "Liancourt". If there are no contrary opinions, I'd like to rename this article. If there are, let's have a vote.--Michael Friedrich 1. heinäkuuta 2007 kello 15.59 (UTC)

The redirect Liancourt seems to have an edit history, so we need an administrator to move the page. I have flagged the article for them with {{korjattava/nimi}}. However, it might be wise to wait a little, because the consensus has been reached only in English. naming rules

"itäinen Dongdo (japaniksi Higashijima) ja läntinen Seodo (japaniksi Nishijima)"

I'm wondering about the prefering of a Name (it seems like that). Normally in other wikis you can find expressions like "eastern island (kor. Dongdo, jap. Higashijima)". Is there a special reason for that? --Valentim 14. syyskuuta 2008 kello 14.06 (EEST)
