aims to refresh the processes of the data flow about species - does not affect the collection, management or ownership
promotes the principles of open data, open public knowledge - does not affect legislative practices of restricting or withholding species data
promotes openness of science and knowledge. Efficient data discovery and use on a broad scale - does not do anything that is not based on agreements or common principles
offers an opportunity to use species data that has been classified as open for research as well as leisure or business, and an opportunity to learn about Finnish nature
is a secondary source of species data - does not as such replace current primary species data management systems
