”Lapsuudenkoti” tai ”Lapsuuden koti” (”On the Banks of the Wabash, Far Away”) on yhdysvaltalainen laulu vuodelta 1897. Sen on säveltänyt ja sanoittanut Paul Dresser. Nostalgisessa laulussa hän muistelee lapsuuttaan Indianan maaseudulla Wabash-joen varrella. Laulu nousi 1900-luvun vaihteen Yhdysvalloissa suureksi myyntimenestykseksi nuottijulkaisuna.[1]
Kappaleesta tehtiin maaliskuussa 1913 Indianan osavaltion virallinen tunnuslaulu. Sen suosio toimi innoituksena James Hanleyn ja Ballard MacDonaldin niin ikään Indianan osavaltiota kuvailevalle laululle ”(Back Home Again in) Indiana” (1917). Kappale pohjautui niin vahvasti Dresserin sävellykseen, että Dresserin kuoleman jälkeen hänen veljensä, kirjailija Theodore Dreiser haastoi Hanleyn ja MacDonaldin oikeuteen kappaleen plagioinnista. Oikeus kuitenkin hylkäsi syytteet. ”Indiana” on sittemmin saavuttanut jopa suuremman menestyksen kuin ”On the Banks of the Wabash, Far Away”.[2]
Laulun vanhin suomennos on Wäinö Solan tekemä käännös ruotsalaisen Karl-Ewert Christensonin sanoituksesta ”Barndomshemmet”. Laulu alkaa sanoilla ”Vielä nytkin muistan viljapellot laajat...”.[3] Tunnetuin suomenkielinen levytys lienee Tapio Rautavaaran vuonna 1959 tekemä, mutta laulun ovat suomeksi levyttäneet myös Otto Pyykkönen 1924, Erik Kivi 1926, Gustav Nieminen 1929, Teemu Grönberg 1942, Finntrio 1967 ja Pasi Kaunisto vuonna 1983.[4]
