Markku Allan Alén (s. 15. helmikuuta 1951 Helsinki) on suomalainen rallikuljettaja ja epävirallinen maailmanmestari. Yhteensä Alén on voittanut 19 MM-sarjan osakilpailua ja on kuusinkertainen Jyväskylän Suurajojen voittaja.

Alén voitti myös jäärata-ajon Suomen mestaruuden vuonna 1970. Alénin isä Eero Alén oli myös jäärata-ajon Suomen mestari.

Ralliura

Rallidebyyttinsä Alén teki vuonna 1969 Renault R8 Gordinilla. Vuoden 1970 Suurajoissa Markku kaatoi Opel Rally Kadettinsa, kun taas vuonna 1971 Alén osallistui kilpailuun Volvo 142:lla ja sijoittui kolmanneksi. Vuonna 1973 hän oli Suurajoissa toinen ja saman vuoden RAC-rallissa lopulta kolmas.

Ensimmäisen MM-osakilpailuvoittonsa Alén saavutti Portugalin osakilpailussa vuonna 1975. Fiatilla Alén saavutti epävirallisen kuljettajien maailmanmestaruuden eli FIA Drivers Cupin voiton 1978. Varsinainen kuljettajien maailmanmestaruussarja perustettiin vasta 1979. Kun Fiat vetäytyi kilpailutoiminnasta, Alén siirtyi Lancialle. Takavetoinen Lancia 037 oli ennen Audin ja muiden nelivetoautojen tuloa hyvin kilpailukykyinen. Lancian nelivetoinen B-ryhmäläinen Delta S4 saatiin valmiiksi vuoden 1985 RAC:hen, jossa Henri Toivonen ja Alén ajoivat kaksoisvoiton. Vuonna 1986 Alén oli 11 päivää rallin maailmanmestari, mutta menetti tittelin Juha Kankkuselle FISA:n mitätöityä San Remon MM-osakilpailun tulokset, minkä johdosta Alén menetti kisasta saamansa pisteet. Häntä ehdittiin jo juhlia kovin seremonioin.

B-ryhmän lopettamisen jälkeen Alén ajoi Lancialla A-ryhmää kolme vuotta ollen vuonna 1987 kuljettajien MM-sarjan kolmas ja 1988 toinen. Tämän jälkeen hän ajoi kaksi vuotta ja yhteensä 12 MM-osakilpailua Subarulla. Vuonna 1992 Alén siirtyi Toyotalle, jolla hänen paras sijoituksensa oli 1993 Safari-rallin toinen sija. Alénin uran pahin onnettomuus tapahtui vuoden 1993 Suurajoissa, jossa hän ajoi ensimmäisellä erikoiskokeella Subarun ensiesittelyssä olleen Impreza 555:n ulos. Tämän jälkeen Alén ja kartanlukija Ilkka Kivimäki päättivät yhdessä lopettaa pitkän aktiiviuransa.

Ralliuran jälkeen

Tämän jälkeen Alén osallistui vielä kotimaisen Blue Rose Teamin ilmoittamalla Ford Focus WRC:llä Suomen MM-ralliin 2001 50-vuotisjuhliensa kruunuksi sekä N-ryhmän Subarulla Costa Smeralda -ralliin Sardiniassa 2001 ja 2002. Ralliuransa jälkeen Alén on ajanut muun muassa jäärataa Keski-Euroopassa ja osallistunut kahdesti Paris–Dakar-erämaaralliin kuorma-autolla. Saksan vakioautosarjaa DTM:ää Alén ajoi vuonna 1995. Alén oli vuosina 2010–2011 mukana testikuljettajana kehittämässä Ferrari FF -autoa.

Myös Markku Alénin poika Anton Alén on kilpaillut rallissa voittaen muun muassa N-ryhmän Jyväskylän MM-rallissa vuonna 2006.

Vuodesta 2010 lähtien Alén on toiminut tekniikan alan lehdessä ja tv-ohjelmassa, Teknavissa, autoilun ja moottoriurheilun asiantuntijana.
