The Amazing Digital Circus on australialainen aikuisanimaatiosarja, jonka on luonut, kirjoittanut ja ohjannut Gooseworx ja jonka tuottaa Glitch Productions. Sarja seuraa ihmisryhmää, joka on loukussa sirkusteemaisessa virtuaalitodellisuuspelissä, jossa he kamppailevat ailahtelevan tekoälyn ja henkilökohtaisten traumojen kanssa. Sarja on saanut inspiraatiota 1990-luvun primitiivisistä tietokoneella luoduista kuvista sekä Harlan Ellisonin novellista "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream".[1][2]
Sarjan tuotanto alkoi vuonna 2022, ja sen pilottijakso sai ensi-iltansa Glitch Productionsin YouTube-kanavalla 13. lokakuuta 2023.[3] Pilottijakso nousi viraaliksi ja siitä tuli yksi katsotuimmista animaatiopiloteista alustalla; kriitikot kehuivat sitä animaatiosta, käsikirjoituksesta, ääninäyttelystä ja synkistä teemoista, ja se oli ehdolla Annie-palkinnon saajaksi.[4][5][6] Koko sarjan tuotanto aloitettiin pilottijakson suosion myötä.[7] 4. lokakuuta 2024, kolmannen jakson julkaisun jälkeen sarja julkaistiin Netflixissä.[8] Kahdeksas ja yhdeksäs jakso julkaistaan yhdessä elokuvateattereissa ympäri maailmaa 4. kesäkuuta 2026 näytöksessä nimeltä The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act.[9][10][11] Yhdeksäs ja viimeinen jakso julkaistiin YouTubessa ja Netflixissä 19. kesäkuuta 2026.[12]
