Soft Cell oli englantilainen synthpop-duo 1980-luvun alkupuolella. Duon jäsenet olivat Marc Almond, laulu (1957–) ja David Ball, syntetisaattori (1959–2025). Yhtyeen sanoitukset keskittyvät yleensä rakkauteen ja romantiikkaan, mutta myös elämän pimeämpään puoleen, aiheina muun muassa transsukupuolisuus, huumeet ja murha. Yhtye teki vuonna 1981 cover-kappaleen ”Tainted Love”.
