Cameo oli 1970- ja 1980-luvuilla pinnalla ollut afroamerikkalainen yhtye, joka teki 1970-luvun lopulla funkia ja 1980-luvulla funk-vaikutteista R&B:tä.

Cameo muistetaan parhaiten 1980-luvun R&B-hittikappaleista, joista tunnetuin on listojen kärkeen noussut ”Word Up!” vuodelta 1986. Kappaleesta ovat tehneet cover-kappaleen muun muassa Gun, Korn ja Melanie B. 1970-luvun funk-levyistä voidaan mainita esimerkiksi Cardiac Arrest (1977), jonka tunnetuin kappale on ”Rigor Mortis”. Yhtyeen keulahahmo on laulaja Larry Blackmon.
