The Unforgiving on alankomaalaisen sinfonista metallia soittavan Within Temptationin viides studioalbumi, joka julkaistiin maaliskuussa 2011.[1]
The Unforgiving on konseptialbumi, joka perustuu samoihin aikoihin julkaistuun samannimiseen sarjakuvakirjaan, jonka on kirjoittanut Steven O’Connell ja kuvittanut Romano Molenaar. Albumin kappaleista "Faster", "Sinéad" ja "Shot in the Dark" on tehty myös lyhytelokuvat, jotka julkaistiin albumin erikoispainoksessa.[2] Albumin ensimmäinen single on "Faster". Toinen single "Sinéad julkaistiin heinäkuussa 2011.[3]
