The Moody Blues

The Moody Blues on Birminghamissa, Englannissa vuonna 1964 perustettu yhtye, jonka tyylilaji vaihtui ensialbumin rhythm and blues -pohjaisesta musiikista psykedeeliseen ja sittemmin progressiiviseen rockiin ja taiderockiin. Vuoden 1965 läpimurtohitti "Go Now" sekä "Nights in White Satin" ja "Tuesday Afternoon" kuuluvat yhtyeen kappaleista tunnetuimpiin.

Suomeksi The Moody Bluesin kappaleita on tulkinnut muun muassa Pertti Neumann kappaleella "Naiselleni" vuonna 1986, joka on suomennos vuonna 1972 levytetystä kappaleesta "For My Lady".

Yhtye on esiintynyt Suomessa vuosina 1967, 2006 ja 2008.
