Ralph Metzner
Fil. tri. Ralph Metzner (18. toukokuuta 1936 Saksa – 14. maaliskuuta 2019[1]) oli yhdysvaltalainen saksalaissyntyinen psykologi, kirjailija ja tutkija, joka osallistui Harvardin yliopiston psykedeelitutkimukseen 1960-luvun alussa Timothy Learyn ja Richard Alpertin (myöh. Ram Dass) kanssa. Metzner oli psykoterapeutti ja Kalifornian Institute of Integral Studiesin psykologian emeritusprofessori San Franciscossa. Aiemmin hän toimi instituutin akateemisena dekaanina ja varapresidenttinä.[2]
Metzner teki yli 45 vuoden ajan tietoisuustutkimusta, joka on kohdistunut mm. psykedeeleihin, joogaan, meditaatioon ja šamanismiin. Hän oli voittoatavoittelemattoman, ihmisten ja maapallon välisen suhteen parantamiseen ja tasapainottamiseen pyrkivän Green Earth -säätiön johtaja ja yksi sen perustajista.[3] Metzner esiintyi myös vuoden 2006 dokumentissa Entheogeneesi: Sisäisen jumaluuden havahtuminen, joka käsittelee kosmoksen lumouksen uudelleenlöytämistä modernissa maailmassa.[4][5]
Metzner oli myös runoilija ja laulaja-lauluntekijä.
