Over the Hills and Far Away on Led Zeppelinin kappale. Se julkaistiin albumilla Houses of the Holy vuonna 1973. Samana vuonna se esitettiin Madison Square Gardenissa konsertissa, joka taltioitiin ja myöhemmin julkaistiin DVD:nä. Kappale kertoo Hobitin matkasta J.R.R. Tolkienin kirjassa Hobitti.
Kappaleen rakenne [muokkaa]
Kappale alkaa kitaristi Jimmy Pagen kitarasoitolla. Kohdassa 1:27 alkaa kertosäe, jossa basso ja rummut tulevat mukaan. Kappale rakentuu vähän ajan kuluttua matalaan sooloon, joka päättyy kitarasoittoon. Kappale palaa sen jälkeen takaisin kertosäkeeseen ja sen jälkeen kerrostalon rappukäytävässä soitettuun päätöselementtiin.
