Erityisesti pienemmissä kaupungeissa, joissa on vähemmän vaihtoehtoisia pitopaikkoja, konserttihalleja saatetaan käyttää niiden päätarkoituksen lisäksi myös muihin aktiviteetteihin, kuten rock-konsertteihin ja yliopistojen valmistujaisjuhliin.
