- ↑ Kansainvälinen kissaliitto FIFe luokittelee kissarodut neljään eri kategoriaan turkin pituuden ja rakenteen perusteella. Kategoriaan I kuuluvat pitkäkarvat ja exotic, II puolipitkäkarvat, III lyhytkarva- ja somalikissat ja IV itämaiset kissat (Pollard 2006, s. 370.) Tähdellä merkityt rodut eivät ole FIFen hyväksymiä.
