Les Claypool
Leslie Edward "Les" Claypool (s. 29. syyskuuta 1963 Richmond, Kalifornia, Yhdysvallat) on alternative rock -yhtye Primuksen basisti ja laulaja. Claypool on tullut tunnetuksi funkmaisesta, luovasta soittotavastaan. Claypool soittaa mm. Carl Thompsonin nauhatonta 6-kielistä bassoa, jonka nimi on Rainbow Bass.

Claypool on Primuksen lisäksi mukana useassa projektissa, mm.The Claypool Lennon Delirium, Blind Illusion, Sausage, Les Claypools's Frog Brigade, Oysterhead ja Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains. Claypool on julkaissut soololevyjä omalla nimellään, sekä kahdella muulla nimellä (High Ball with the Devil, sekä Les Claypool And the Holy Mackarel). Claypool on soittanut useilla muiden yhtyeiden ja artistien julkaisuilla, sekä tehnyt musiikillista yhteistyötä mm. Tom Waitsin ja Bucketheadin kanssa.
Muusikon uran lisäksi Claypool on myös kirjoittanut romaanin South of the Pumphouse sekä käsikirjoittanut ja ohjannut elokuvan Electric Apricot, jossa hän näyttelee yhtä pääosaa.

Vuonna 1986 Metallican basistin Cliff Burtonin kuoleman jälkeen Claypool tarjoutui yhtyeen basistiksi. Häntä ei hyväksytty, syynä tähän todennäköisesti Claypoolin soittotapa. Metallican laulaja-kitaristi James Hetfield myös kertoi eräässä haastattelussa, että Claypoolia ei valittu koska "hän oli liian hyvä".Claypool itse kommentoi jälkikäteen että oli todellisuudessa liian "outo persoona" yhtyeeseen. Les Claypool harrastaa intohimoisesti kalastusta ja veneilyä. Useat hänen sanoittamistaan kappaleista käsittelevätkin tätä aihepiiriä.
