James Cromwell

James Oliver Cromwell (s. 27. tammikuuta 1940) on yhdysvaltalainen televisio- ja elokuvanäyttelijä.

Lapsuus

Cromwell on syntynyt Los Angelesissa ja viettänyt lapsuutensa Manhattanilla. Hänen äitinsä on näyttelijä Kay Johnson ja isänsä oli näyttelijä, ohjaaja ja tuottaja John Cromwell, joka joutui edustajainhuoneen epäamerikkalaista toimintaa tutkivan komitean (House Un-American Activities Committee, HUAC) mustalle listalle. Koulun jälkeen hän aloitti opinnot Carnegie Mellon -yliopistossa, mutta ajautui kuitenkin näyttämöuralle.
