Arthur Janov

Arthur Janov (21. elokuuta 1924 Los Angeles, Kalifornia – 1. lokakuuta 2017 Malibu, Kalifornia) oli yhdysvaltalainen psykologi ja psykoterapeutti. Hän kehitti niin kutsutun primaaliterapian ja julkaisi kirjan The Primal Scream (1970).

John Lennon oli yksi Janovin asiakkaista, ja hänen terapiakokemuksiinsa perustuu albumi John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band.

Janov syntyi Los Angelesissa ja valmistui Kalifornian yliopistosta Los Angelesista sekä Claremont Graduate Schoolista. Hän tarjosi yksityistä psykoterapiaa vuodesta 1952, mutta idea hänen uudesta terapiamuodostaan alkoi kehittyä vasta 1960-luvulla.
